South Korean court orders North Korea to pay $32.5 million for liaison office demolition
A Seoul court has ordered North Korea to pay approximately US$32.5 million in damages for demolishing an inter-Korean liaison office in 2020. The destruction of the office, intended to foster relations between the two Koreas, led to the South Korean government filing a lawsuit against Pyongyang. This marks the first time the South Korean government has sued North Korea.
