CRPF DIG's Suspension Revoked After Criticism
President Droupadi Murmu has revoked the suspension of CRPF Deputy Inspector General B.C. Patra, who was suspended on June 17. Patra had faced disciplinary action for criticizing the CAPF Act on social media. His suspension had drawn criticism from some former Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) officers who deemed it hasty and illegal. The revocation of his suspension followed approval from the central government.
