Samajwadi Party Leader Shot Dead in Prayagraj; Three Arrested
Samajwadi Party district secretary and former village head Pawan Kumar Yadav, 50, was shot dead on Tuesday evening in Prayagraj's Handia area. Three masked assailants on a motorcycle reportedly shot him as he was getting into his car. The incident occurred in the Karmanasha locality, approximately 500 meters from the Handia police station. Police have arrested three individuals identified as Lalla Yadav, Brajesh Yadav, and Nihal Ali in connection with the murder. Authorities stated the motive was personal enmity and that the accused used two country-made pistols purchased for ₹20,000. The police have recovered the motorcycle and weapons used in the crime.
