Suicide blast kills 16 at Pakistan mosque during Friday prayers
A suicide bombing occurred during Friday prayers at a mosque near Peshawar, Pakistan, killing at least 16 people and injuring over 50. The blast targeted a mosque located near police offices and an old police lines area. A senior police official stated that a vehicle loaded with explosives rammed into the mosque building. The attack has not been immediately claimed, but the region is known to be active with groups like ISIL and the Pakistan Taliban (TTP), which regularly target troops. Separately, a roadside bomb killed six soldiers in Pakistan on the same day, while troops conducted raids killing 10 militants.
