Direct Tax Collections Rise 13% to Over Rs 12 Lakh Crore
Direct tax collections for the fiscal year 2027 have increased by 13% to over Rs 12.12 lakh crore as of September 17. This growth includes a significant 53% rise in Securities Transaction Tax (STT) collections. Advance tax collections have also seen an increase of over 16%.
