Warren Buffett Steps Down as Berkshire Hathaway Chairman
Warren Buffett, 96, has stepped down as chairman of Berkshire Hathaway after more than 50 years leading the company. He will remain on the board as chairman emeritus. His son, Howard Buffett, will take over as the new chairman. Buffett, known as the "Oracle of Omaha" for his investment acumen, built Berkshire Hathaway into an investing powerhouse. He had announced plans to retire from leading the business group last year, stating "Father Time always wins."
