Yen Weakens After Bank of Japan Rate Hike

The Japanese Yen weakened ahead of the Bank of Japan's (BOJ) policy decision, with a rate hike anticipated. Following the decision, the Yen further declined. The BOJ raised its key interest rate to 1.25%, the highest level since 1995. Despite the rate increase, hawkish comments from the BOJ governor did not prevent a renewed slide in the currency.
