India Rejects Pakistan's Account of Naval Collision in Arabian Sea

India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday rejected Pakistan's account of a September 15 collision between the Indian Navy destroyer INS Kolkata and the Pakistan Navy corvette PNS Hunain in the north Arabian Sea. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal described Pakistan's claims as "usual prevarication" and an "unacceptable, unprofessional manner." India reiterated that PNS Hunain violated the 1991 maritime pact. The Indian Navy destroyer INS Kolkata remains safe and at sea.
