Agriculture Minister Urges Southern States to Boost Horticulture Exports

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged southern Indian states to enhance horticulture production and tap export potential to increase farm incomes and strengthen food security. Speaking to state officials, Chouhan emphasized the need for region-specific agricultural planning and cooperation between the Centre and states. He also highlighted that Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) are creating new global opportunities for Indian farmers, provided they adopt international quality standards to access these markets.
