India Mandates QR Codes for Tracking Vaccines, Cancer Drugs, and More

The Indian government has expanded its QR code-based drug traceability framework to include all vaccines, antibiotics, cancer drugs, and narcotics. This move aims to enhance the tracking of medicines and prevent the sale of counterfeit or defective batches. The expanded system, part of amendments to Schedule H2 of the Drugs Rules, will apply to a wider range of critical medications.
