Russia holds parliamentary elections amid Ukraine war
Russia is conducting its first parliamentary elections since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in 2022. Millions of citizens are voting to elect a new lower house of Parliament. Ukraine has criticized the elections, describing them as "held at gunpoint" in occupied territories. Critics of Russian President Vladimir Putin have also commented on the electoral process.
