Kanpur authorities demolish illegal structures on graveyard land
Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) officials, accompanied by a heavy police presence, demolished illegal constructions and boundary walls on approximately 3,000 square meters of land designated as a graveyard. The action was taken against encroachments on government land. The KDA stated that the graveyard committee had illegally occupied the land. The cleared area is planned to be developed into a park.
