Forest Guard and Others Targeted in Online Scams Totaling Over ₹112 Crore
Two separate online scams have been reported, targeting individuals through fraudulent schemes. In one incident, a forest guard in Khargone lost ₹10.95 lakh to a fake trading app promoted via a WhatsApp group. Khargone police arrested three suspects in Gujarat and reportedly recovered the full amount. In a separate case in Pilibhit, a gang allegedly defrauded people of ₹102.54 crore by luring them with online game winnings. Police arrested the alleged mastermind, Mohsin, and a nursing student, Rahul, while two others remain at large. This gang reportedly targeted individuals across 14 states using fake bank accounts and SIM cards.
