Russia election results: United Russia leads with over 57% votes
In Russia's parliamentary elections, the ruling United Russia party secured over 57.54% of the votes, according to initial results. This indicates a strong performance for Vladimir Putin's party. Exit polls also predicted United Russia to receive the highest number of votes. The Communist Party and the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia were reported to be in second and third place, respectively. Voting concluded with over 56% turnout.
