Delhi High Court rejects plea for probe into Justice Varma cash row
The Delhi High Court has rejected a plea seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe and an First Information Report (FIR) against Justice Yashwant Varma concerning unaccounted cash. The court described the plea as a 'wild witch hunt' and refused to entertain it, stating it could not doubt the Delhi Police simply because the Bar Council of India (BCI) Chairman is a ruling-party Member of Parliament. Videos purportedly showing bundles of currency notes burning at Justice Varma's official residence had surfaced in 2025.
