Stellantis acquires full ownership of India plant, plans production increase
Automaker Stellantis has acquired the CK Birla Group's stake in its India joint venture, gaining full ownership of the Thiruvallur manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu. The company plans to increase production from 18,000 units in 2026 to over 50,000 vehicles annually by 2027. This move targets both domestic sales and exports.
