Karan Johar announces R&AW founder R.N. Kao biopic with 2028 release
Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced a feature film about Rameshwar Nath Kao, the founder of India's external intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW). The announcement was made on September 21, 2026, coinciding with the 58th anniversary of R&AW. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on August 11, 2028. The movie aims to explore unseen stories of the Indian spymaster.
