Rajasthan Government Increases Pension for Emergency Detainees

The Rajasthan government, under Chief Minister Bhajanlal, has decided to increase the pension amount for individuals who were imprisoned during the Emergency period. This decision by the Bhajanlal cabinet raises the pension to 25,000 rupees. The pension scheme for these detainees was reportedly initiated during the Vasundhara Raje administration and subsequently discontinued during the Ashok Gehlot government's tenure, before being revived and enhanced by the current administration.
