Naxalite Commander Brijesh Ganjhu Killed in UP Encounter
Brijesh Ganjhu, a Naxalite commander with a combined bounty of ₹30 lakh, was killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Ramnagar police on Sunday, September 20, in Varanasi. He was identified as Brijesh Ganjhu alias Gopal Singh Bhokta, a resident of Chatra district. He was wanted for murder, extortion, and offenses under the UAPA.
