Ireland Fines Google Over Location Data Processing
Ireland's Data Protection Commission has fined Google €403 million for its processing of user location data. The watchdog stated that users may not have been aware their information was used to target advertisements or infer their interests. The fine follows claims that Google manipulated users into agreeing to constant tracking of their location.
