Tesla Faces Trial Over Racial Harassment Claims in California
Tesla is set to face a trial in California over allegations of racial harassment and unequal pay at its factory. The California Civil Rights Department and Tesla's legal teams are scheduled to appear before state Superior Court Judge Peter Borkon in Oakland. The trial is expected to continue through October 30. Lawyers for Black employees claim they experienced "rampant racism" that went unchecked for years at the company's flagship plant. Dozens of Black employees have alleged racist slurs, unequal pay and promotions, and bullying by supervisors.
