ED Searches Belgian NGO Premises in Rajasthan Over Foreign Fund Misuse
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at premises linked to a Belgium-based NGO in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The searches were carried out under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), 1999, in connection with the alleged misuse of foreign donations amounting to approximately Rs 5.10 crore. The investigation is reportedly related to the alleged misuse of these Belgian funds for conversion purposes.
