Jammu & Kashmir withdraws over 4,200 books from libraries
The Jammu and Kashmir government has withdrawn 4,249 books from public, school, and college libraries after screening over 21.8 lakh titles for "objectionable content" in the past two months. An additional 1,752 books have been sent for "expert examination." The information was provided to the assembly on Tuesday by Education Minister Sakina Itoo.
