Uttarakhand Officials Held in Shimla Theft Case
Shimla police have arrested four personnel from the Uttarakhand Excise and Taxation department in connection with a theft. The officials allegedly intercepted a housemaid and her accomplices with stolen jewelry and cash near the Indo-Nepal border. Instead of handing over the recovered items and suspects to the police, the Uttarakhand officials reportedly kept the valuables and allowed the housemaid and her aides to escape into Nepal. The four men were subsequently apprehended by Shimla police.
