Dozens of Drug Samples Fail Quality Tests, Some Found Substandard or Counterfeit
In August, the Central Drugs Laboratories found 29 drug samples did not meet required standards. State drug testing labs identified 191 samples as Not of Standard Quality (NSQ). In Delhi, one counterfeit medicine was discovered, manufactured under another company's brand name. Reports also indicate that 63 medicines from Himachal Pradesh, including children's syrups, failed quality checks.
