World Leaders Propose Global Oversight for Advanced AI Models
Over 20 world leaders, including figures from Finland and Norway, have called for global oversight of frontier artificial intelligence (AI) models. They propose the establishment of a United Nations-backed body to set safety standards for AI systems and enhance international cooperation and testing protocols. OpenAI has also urged Washington to lead a global effort in creating AI safety standards.
