IIT Bombay Student Death: Alumni Seek Fair Probe, Professor on Leave
The parents of IIT Bombay student Sahil Wakode alleged they were driven out of Mumbai in a private car on Wednesday morning, despite their intention to stay and begin a hunger strike at the institute. The IIT Bombay Alumni Association has called for a fair and speedy investigation into Wakode's death, requesting "no media trials." Professor Suryanarayana Doolla has been sent on leave in connection with the student suicide case.
