West Bengal to take over 933 schools with no students
The West Bengal government has ordered district administrations to physically verify 933 schools that have zero student enrollment. Committees will inspect the infrastructure, land, and facilities of these schools to assess options for revival or alternative use, such as health centers, training centers, or community facilities. The government intends to take over the 'unused' assets of these schools.
