IMF: Sri Lanka's economy resilient but faces downside risks

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) stated that Sri Lanka's economy has shown resilience despite successive shocks but continues to face risks tilted to the downside. This assessment followed the conclusion of an IMF staff visit to the South Asian island nation. Sri Lanka is supported by a $2.9 billion program from the IMF.
