Haryana Village Bans Love Marriages, Calls for Social Boycott
A village in Haryana has passed a resolution banning 'love marriages' and calling for a social boycott of couples who engage in them. The resolution was passed by the Gram Panchayat. The central government had previously asked Gram Panchayats to pass 'child marriage-free village' resolutions on October 2.
