Kashmiri activist alleges rights abuses in PoK at UNHRC
At the UN Human Rights Council, Kashmiri activist Tasleema Akhtar raised concerns about human rights issues in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). She alleged that over 100 civilians were killed and highlighted a lack of basic infrastructure and essential services for residents. Akhtar also pointed to an internet blackout in the region since June unrest.
