ICC Convicts Central African Republic Rebel Leader of Crimes Against Humanity
The International Criminal Court (ICC) convicted Mahamat Said Abdel Kani, a former militia commander from the Central African Republic, on Wednesday for crimes against humanity. Said was found guilty of torture and unlawful imprisonment. He had overseen a detention center in the capital, Bangui, known for its harsh conditions during the country's civil war.
