Contractor Paid ₹3.85 Cr for Incomplete Water Scheme, Tank Collapses
In Mauganj, Madhya Pradesh, a case has been registered by the EOW (Economic Offences Wing) in Rewa against three PHE (Public Health Engineering) engineers and a contractor for alleged irregularities in the Nal Jal Yojana (water supply scheme). The contractor was reportedly paid ₹3.85 crore for work that was not completed. During a trial, a 30-foot water tank collapsed immediately after being filled with water. The FIR was registered following an investigation into the incomplete work.
