Kerala HC: Inter-faith marriage eligible for inter-caste benefits
The Kerala High Court has ruled that couples married across different religions are also eligible for benefits intended for inter-caste marriages. Justice Harisankar V. Menon made this observation while hearing a petition from a woman seeking re-registration of her marriage. The court stated that an inter-religious marriage can be considered for benefits under the inter-caste marriage reservation category.
