Sonam Wangchuk fears encounter killing, cites past jailing
Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk claimed on Thursday that he fears being killed in an encounter, alleging it is a consequence of speaking out against the government. He also stated that he was previously jailed. Wangchuk demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over violence that occurred in Leh last year, which he described as a conspiracy.
