Over 100 arrested in New York protest against Netanyahu's UN visit
More than 100 people were arrested in New York City during a protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to the UN. Demonstrators blocked streets and marched towards UN headquarters as Netanyahu addressed world leaders at the UN General Assembly. The New York Police Department (NYPD) responded to reports of an unscheduled demonstration. Among those arrested were "Hacks" star Benjamin Melzer and a Democratic House candidate. The protest was against Israel's war in Gaza and Netanyahu's visit. Netanyahu also attacked an individual named Mamdani at the UN, accusing him of endangering Jewish New Yorkers.
