Congress Attacks Election Commission Over Voter List Purge
The Congress party has launched a strong attack on the Election Commission of India, alleging that the commission is removing voters from lists for political gain and that this poses a threat to democracy. Congress leader Aradhana Mishra stated that 13.5 crore names have been removed from voter lists. In response, BJP leaders Sambit Patra and Ravi Shankar Prasad accused the Congress of attacking the Election Commission for its own political interests.
