Delhi PG Owners Failed Safety Checks, 7 Died: Police to High Court
Police informed the Delhi High Court that owners of the Satya Niketan PG accommodation failed to ensure structural safety, leading to a collapse that killed seven people. Following the incident, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) stated that safety audits for old, tall buildings will be mandatory. Owners will be required to undertake corrective measures and retrofitting after the audit, with action to be taken against those who do not comply with the rules.
