Multiple Political Figures Face Allegations and Scrutiny

Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma is facing scrutiny after a video emerged showing him slapping a youth, with the Delhi Police filing a Non-Cognizable Report (NCR) against him, while an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA also faces an FIR in connection with the incident. Members of the Sikh community protested outside Verma's house. Separately, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has approached the Madras High Court seeking a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to summon Chief Minister Vijay and ministers Aadhav Arjuna in connection with a POCSO case. In another development, the DMK has been accused by AIADMK of colluding against TVK, with Vijay reportedly making this claim. Meanwhile, Kanimozhi of the DMK has raised concerns about jobs, welfare, and law and order under the Vijay government, referencing a Dhanush film. The political landscape also sees discussions about Vijay potentially gaining a boost from a BJP ally, with an AIADMK angle also noted, and TVK, which promotes Joseph Vijay in North India, has been reported to be removing Hindi names from state signboards. The Commune reports that TVK is spending crores to promote Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay's image nationally.
