India Advances in Asian Games Hockey; Archery and Athletics Medals Secured
The Indian men's hockey team has reached the final of the Asian Games 2026, defeating Pakistan 4-3 in their semi-final match. In archery, Kumkum Mohod and Dhiraj Bommadevara won a silver medal in the Mixed Recurve Archery event with a score of 3-5. Tejaswin Shankar secured 7924 points in an athletics event, surpassing his previous silver medal score, and is noted as the first Indian to break the 8000-point barrier and win a Commonwealth Games medal in his discipline. Other Indian athletes are also winning gold medals in the Asian Games.
