Anup Bagchi Appointed New MD & CEO of HDFC Bank
Anup Bagchi has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of HDFC Bank, succeeding Sashidhar Jagdishan who will step down on October 26. Bagchi, a veteran of the banking sector with extensive experience at the ICICI Group since 1992, previously served as CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. His appointment follows RBI approval and he will assume his new role on October 27. Bagchi faces challenges including increasing core income and reducing instances of product mis-selling.
