Eight students drown off Maharashtra's Diveagar beach during picnic
Eight students from Pune drowned in the Arabian Sea off Diveagar beach in Maharashtra's Raigad district while on a picnic. The students were reportedly from a coaching class. The incident occurred at Diveagar beach, and the students were in Class 11 and 12. One report indicated the coaching academy had been operating for two years without registration, according to the civic body.
