Punjab Congress Chief Resigns, Cites Need for New Leadership
Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has resigned as the Punjab Congress chief, submitting his resignation to Rahul Gandhi. Warring stated he was not holding the post due to favor and that he decided to step down because Gandhi was the one who appointed him. He also remarked that "Nobody Can Remain At Top Forever." The resignation comes as a new state chief is likely to be appointed, ahead of the 2027 polls.
