Government Denies Reports of Banks Closing Every Saturday
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check has debunked a viral social media notification claiming that public sector banks will now remain closed every Saturday. The PIB stated that the notification is fake and that the government has not declared every Saturday a bank holiday. Banks were closed on Friday, October 2, due to Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.
