UPI Transactions Surge in First Half of FY27
Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions saw a substantial increase in the first half of the financial year 2027. Approximately 145 billion transactions were processed, with their total value reaching Rs 177 lakh crore. This growth occurred ahead of the introduction of a new Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) scheduled for October 15.
