Latvian Prime Minister's Party Wins Election, Faces Coalition Talks
Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs' party was poised to win the largest share of votes in an election held on Saturday, with exit polls showing the pro-Ukraine and pro-Europe party securing 35.6 per cent of the vote. While the result puts the centrist PM in a strong position for coalition talks to form the next government, his party fell short of an outright majority. The election took place amid growing security threats from Russia.
