Siberian Lab Worker Dies After Plague Bacteria Exposure; 200 Monitored
A laboratory worker in Irkutsk, Siberia, Russia, died following an accidental exposure to live plague bacteria from a broken test tube. She developed severe pneumonia-like symptoms. Approximately 200 individuals who may have been exposed to her are under medical observation.
