ACP Accused of Harassment Promoted Amidst Allegations
An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) accused of sexually harassing a female journalist has received a promotion and been given the charge of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). The allegations surfaced during a protest at Jantar Mantar. While one report states that the charge of Additional DCP was withheld, another indicates the promotion and new responsibility. The government has offered a clarification regarding the situation. No First Information Report (FIR) has been filed yet against the ACP.
