US Republicans distance themselves from Trump in debates
Republican candidates in US state-level elections are seeking to distance themselves from former President Donald Trump. In Michigan's gubernatorial debate, John James aimed to create some separation from Trump. Similarly, in Maine's first Senate debate, Susan Collins worked to distance herself from Trump. In Nebraska, independent Senate candidate Osborn stated that the state was 'not fooled' by Trump and Ricketts.
