India Inaugurates Second Helicopter Engine Production Line
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a second production line for Shakti helicopter engines at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited's (HAL) Koraput division. This new facility is slated to be fully operational by 2028-29 and aims to produce up to 100 engines annually. HAL's Koraput division has also been involved in producing AL-31FP engines and has a history of manufacturing aero-engines for six decades, having delivered its 2,000th aero-engine.
